Choosing Wall Art: Format, Size and Style
Canvas, poster or framed poster? Canvas is the most tactile of the three — the ink sits on woven cotton, so the surface keeps a soft grain that catches light the way a painting does, and the matte finish means no glare from a window. A poster is flat, crisp and the lightest way to fill a wall, easy to swap when you want a change. A framed poster keeps that same sharpness, and the wooden frame gives the piece a finished edge; it arrives ready to hang. Our guide to canvas versus framed posters compares them in detail.
What size? The most common mistake is going too small. A single piece should cover roughly two thirds of the furniture below it, so above a standard sofa that means our largest formats — a 60x75 cm canvas or a 60x90 cm framed poster. Smaller sizes are made to be hung in pairs or trios rather than alone. Our room-by-room size guide gives the measurements for each space.
Which style? Everything here is built on modern minimalism — restrained colour, clean composition and a lot of empty space left on purpose. Some pieces lean warmer and more organic, others sharper and more graphic, but nothing is loud. Our guide to minimalist wall art ideas shows how the same restraint plays out room by room.
Every piece is made to order and shipped free across Europe, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
