Frequently Asked Questions
What is a canvas print?
A canvas print is an image or design printed on high-quality canvas fabric and stretched over a wooden frame. It’s designed for wall display, has a textured, gallery-style look, and includes mounting hardware for hanging.
What is a framed canvas print?
A framed canvas print is an artwork printed on a slim canvas and set within a decorative outer wooden frame. The canvas has a 2 cm (0.8 in) deep profile, giving the artwork a light and elegant appearance. A 12 mm (0.45 in) gap is left between the canvas and the outer frame, creating a subtle floating-frame effect and a refined, gallery-style finish.
The artwork is printed on high-quality 300–350 gsm cotton-polyester canvas. The canvas structure and frame are made from FSC-certified or locally sourced poplar or pine wood. A hanging kit is included.
What’s the difference between a standard (“thick”) canvas and a framed (“slim”) canvas?
The main differences are the depth of the canvas profile and the outer frame.
A standard (“thick”) canvas has a 4 cm (1.6 in) deep profile and is stretched over a deeper wooden stretcher frame. It does not have an additional outer frame, giving it the classic gallery-wrap canvas appearance.
A framed canvas uses a slimmer 2 cm (0.8 in) deep canvas, which is set within an additional decorative wooden outer frame. A 12 mm (0.45 in) gap between the canvas and the frame creates an elegant floating-frame effect.
Both versions are printed on the same high-quality 300–350 gsm cotton-polyester canvas — the main differences are the profile depth and the additional outer frame.
What is a poster print?
A poster is a high-quality art print on matte paper. Posters are delivered unframed and without hanging hardware, so you can choose the framing or display option that suits your space.
What is a wooden framed poster print?
A wooden framed poster print is a high-quality art print on smooth white matte paper, professionally framed with a clean, modern pine wood frame. It features shatterproof plexiglass for front protection and arrives fully assembled with hanging hardware, ready to display.
What’s the difference between framed and unframed poster prints?
Both use the same 200 gsm matte print. Unframed posters arrive without a frame and without hanging hardware, and cost less — for buyers who already have a frame or prefer to choose their own. Framed posters arrive in a pine wood frame with shatterproof plexiglass, assembled and with hanging hardware.
What sizes do you offer?
Above a sofa or sideboard, larger sizes such as 60x75 cm (24x30”), 60x80 cm (24x32”) or 60x90 cm (24x36”) create a strong focal point without overwhelming the space. Medium sizes work beautifully in bedrooms, dining areas or home offices, while smaller sizes are ideal for narrow walls, cozy corners or gallery wall arrangements.
How are your prints made?
Every piece is made to order and printed at one of our production hubs in over 30 countries — your order goes to the hub nearest you, so it travels a shorter distance and arrives with no import duties or customs fees. Canvas prints are printed on 300–350 gsm poly-cotton canvas and hand-stretched over a solid 4 cm deep wooden frame. Posters use 200 gsm smooth matte paper. All inks are fade-resistant and UV-stable, and the canvas and wood are FSC-certified. Each order is quality-checked before it leaves the hub.
Where are the prints made, and will I pay customs?
Printing takes place at one of our production hubs in over 30 countries, and your order ships from the one nearest you, so there are no import duties or customs fees to pay on arrival. Shipping is free to the EU, UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Are the prints ready to hang?
Canvas and framed canvas prints come with a mounting kit packed loose in the box rather than fitted to the frame. A metal bracket pressed against stretched canvas in transit can leave a mark, so the kit travels separately — a screwdriver and a minute to attach. Contents vary by country.
Unframed posters come without a frame and without hanging hardware, so you can choose your own framing.
Framed poster prints arrive with the hanging hardware already fitted to the frame. Unpack and hang.
Will the colors match what I see on screen?
Screens emit light in RGB, printers lay down CMYK ink, so a few shades — deep blues and vivid greens especially — read slightly softer on paper than on a display. Neutral and earth-toned pieces, which is most of our range, reproduce very closely. Room lighting also shifts them: warm bulbs deepen the browns, daylight keeps them cooler. If exact colour matters to you, view the product photos with your screen brightness at its default rather than at maximum.
How long does production and delivery take?
All items are made to order. Production takes 2–5 business days. Total time from order to doorstep is 7–12 business days to the EU, UK, USA and Canada, and 7–15 business days to Australia and New Zealand. Tracking is sent as soon as your order ships.
Can I return or exchange my order?
Because each item is made to order, returns are accepted only if the product arrives damaged or has a production defect. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@inprintdesigns.com. This timeframe does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
